I'm an Australian citizen. Can I apply for Vietnam e-visa in Australia. Please advise.

Please be kindly informed that Vietnam e-visa is currently available for Australians. 

There are some important remarks regarding the e-visa for Vietnam that you should keep in mind as follows:

  1. Vietnam e-visa is for tourism only;
  2. It is valid for 30 days at maximum with single entry;
  3. Its processing time is 3 working days;
  4. Its entry gate cannot be changed in case your e-visa has been issued. In case you change your gate of entry into Vietnam, you need to apply for a new one.

In case you wish to stay in Vietnam for more than 30 consecutive days, or you enter Vietnam on a business trip or you are not sure about your arrival gate, and the only thing you are sure is that you are traveling to Vietnam by air, we highly recommend you Vietnam visa on arrival as your entry airport can be switched among 5 international airports of Vietnam (Noi Bai in Hanoi, Tan Son Nhat in HCMC, Da nang in Da Nang city, Cat Bi in Hai Phong and Cam Ranh in Khanh Hoa).
